Turn a room into a memorable work of art.

Here’s the process…

Capelli Salon

Dream it.

Like all good things, it starts small. Send me inspiration pictures and tell me about yourself, and I will translate that into a few basic sketches that you get to choose from. We collaborate back and forth until we create a design that matches your vision and meets your goals.

In this case, Marie, the owner of the salon, sent me a Pinterest board filled with vibrant colors, irregular shapes, and feminine accents. I also drew inspiration from the rose tattoo on her arm and her daughter’s name—Lillie—to create this floral mockup.

Paint it.

Once the sketch is approved, it’s time to get down to business. Murals are priced by the square foot plus the cost of materials, and overall investment is dependent on the amount of detail, color and supplies needed for the project.

This mural for Capelli Salon was approximately 50 square feet and took a day and a half of work.

Settle in.

The murals I do are made to last. I do not cut corners or rush details. Each painting is done with intention.

Murals not only add interest to a space, but they serve as conversation starters, photo opportunities, and visual landmarks that will remind your customers to come back to your beautiful space. I can assure you that every mural I do is unique and painted with you and your audience in mind.

It is my favorite part of the WHOLE salon. I am amazed...I feel so much love from your mural, I never knew that was possible.

Destination Hyatt:

Wild Dunes Resort

Wild Dunes Resort, by Destination Hyatt, is located on Isle of Palms, just outside of Charleston, South Carolina. The resort is best known for unpretentious luxury, beach access, and award-winning golf courses. Therefore, the objective of this mural was to create a beautiful space for a photo opportunity and guests to see member golf records on display.

One wall is a “Wall of Fame” that includes the Wild Dunes and Club logos with a fun, handwritten cursive font for the record-holder names.

On the outward-facing wall shows the infamous 18th hole on the Links Course in an illustrative style. This wall features a standing golf club for guests to pose with. The mural can be found on the patio of the Links Clubhouse, right next to Huey’s restaurant.

Old Skool Outfitter

Zach and Cy’ree from Old Skool Outfitter approached me about doing a mural that feels fun, inviting, true to Downtown Greenville, honest to their vintage clothing store, and overall creates a memorable moment when you walk in. You can see the first part of this 300 square foot mural from the street, and it flows down the staircase all the way to the checkout counter. Inspired by Keith Haring, nearly every element of the mural represents something and has a story.

Since finishing the mural in February 2023, this mural has been featured by NASCAR and GVLtoday, as well as photographed and shared on social media by hundreds of customers. Murals are not only art pieces, but also serve as conversation starters and marketing for a space.

Window shopping takes on a whole new meaning when it comes to @oldskooloutfitter’s new mural by local artist @rc.finleyart.

Mak & Cheesecakes

Mak & Cheesecakes is a family-owned cheesecake bakery in Simpsonville, South Carolina. This mural is loaded with sweet food elements, nods to Downtown Simpsonville, New York City (where co-owner, Lisa perfected her cheesecake recipe), their doodle Toby, and two precious sons— Mak and Judah. The bold design makes a statement when you walk in their store and serves as great photo background, yet the black and white color pallet allows the mural to evolve with the style of their store over time.

Wrapsodies

Wrapsodies is a female-owned gift boutique in Easley, SC. They requested something chic, abstract, and incorporated their signature colors and logo, so that’s what we did! I projected and traced their logo directly on the wall to ensure accuracy. This mural mixes an organic, hand-painted look with clean and readable lines.

I used 3 colors of wall paint, metallic paint for the “frame”, and gold leaf for some additional shine and texture. This mural is about 5x4ft and took a little over one day to paint.

Bethany’s Studio 1

Bethany’s daughter, Brianna, reached out to me about doing this mural in this Clemson salon as a Christmas gift for her mom. Brianna sent me a few inspiration photos and had the idea to incorporate each her, her mom, and her sister’s birth flowers. She also decided to add butterflies to represent a sweet memory her mother shared with her about her grandmother. Not only is this mural timeless and beautiful, but it is deeply personal for her and her family.

This mural was about 9 ft x 10 ft and completed in November 2021. I used Posca markers, and the butterflies were done with gold leaf and sealed with polyurethane to ensure longevity. I also scattered three additional butterflies on other walls in the salon to look like they flew off the mural to fill some of the space over the mirrors in the salon.

Oxford Barber Co.

This mural was completed in June 2021 after John, the owner of the Oxford Barber Co. asked me for a mural at his newest location in Patrick Square. He wanted it to give a nod to Clemson without feeling cheesy or unsophisticated. We went with muted colors and a bold chunky pattern that feels modern yet timeless.

The entire piece took two full workdays, and I’m super pleased with how it turned out. This picture was taken before any furniture or decor was moved into the space.

Oxford Barber Co.

John messaged me with a photo of what he had in mind for his third shop in the West Village of Greenville and asked if I’d be able to do it for him in the following week. It was the biggest task I had taken on, but I excitedly said yes.

It was a simple design of just lines, circles, and stars to look like a constellation map, but because it was so large and so minimal, this means the lines had to be clean and the circles had to be symmetrical. I carefully drew each line and stenciled in each star with white paint, until finally the room was filled with constellations. Some of the stars were leafed with gold to make the mural pop even more and give it an antique feel.

This mural took just over two long work days and was completed in November 2020. Each star was prayed over and thoughtfully painted. Hidden in this mural is Psalm 147:4, which says, “He determines the number of stars and calls them by name.” As I was painting the mural, I couldn’t help but think about how much time and though God put into making us. I didn't paint a single star perfectly, and I definitely lost track of how many I painted, but God made us and stars…and manages to watch over and pay attention to each of us. Maybe I spent too long staring at this wall in silence, but I think that’s awesome.

The Partum Company

This is the first mural I ever did, the summer of 2020. The boys at The Partum Co. picked out a bunch of cartoons and sketches they liked the look of and graciously allowed me to experiment on their office wall. This allowed me to practice my technique, understand what materials worked best for me, and play around with an artistic style I usually don’t do. This mural holds a special place in my heart!
